Say Lou Lou have made yesterday a double bill. Alongside the international release of their debut album ‘Lucid Dreaming’ the sister duo have also premiered the video of their most recent single ‘Nothing But A Heartbeat’.
The Joanna Nordahl directed short film, produced to explain the album title ‘Lucid Dreaming’, found its inspiration through Lars Von Trier’s ‘Melancholia’, Hans Zimmer and Virginia Woolf’s ‘On Being Ill’ to create a dreamy, surreal video drawing parallels between religious ideology and exploring mental sanity. ”Dreams are a way for human minds to digest their memories, and this film is sort of a digestion of our experiences of these past years as Say Lou Lou.” the band concluded. The astonishing result was uploaded onto the duo’s Youtube page yesterday.
The Swedish/Australian sister group have gained a massive following in and outside Scandinavia, since they released the buzz single ‘Maybe You’ two years ago. The release of their debut album ‘Lucid Dreaming’ marks a new chapter for them.
