Sister Trio O’G3NE announced as 2017 Dutch Eurovision act.
Girl trio O’G3NE are representing the Netherlands at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest.
The trio have been clear front runners after openly confirming they’d love to be involved in the Eurovision adventure over the summer. The three sisters previously represented the Netherlands in 2007 in its junior edition.
After their Eurovision experience The Vol sisters auditioned in 2014 for The Voice, rebranding themselves as O’G3NE. Coach Marco Borsato offered them a seat in his team, with the rest being history. O’G3NE won the Voice as first ever trio to do so, releasing their first single Magic. The band landed a record contract with EMI and have since made a name for themselves due to their exquisite vocal harmonies.
So what we can expect from Lisa, Amy & Shelley? A surprise for sure. Harmonies are their strong point, so fans of the trio are hoping for something in that genre. One thing’s for sure, their entry is going to be brand spanking new. We can expect more details early next year. Never the less we did have a listen to their debut album, and we very much approve of their selection. Check them out for yourself.
The Netherlands still remains one of the most successful countries in the Eurovision Song contest. Last year Douwe Bob represented them with his entry Slow Down. The country has qualified three out of four times in recent years with their current selection system.
