The EBU have confirmed this morning that TVR, the Romanian broadcaster has been expelled from the Eurovision Song Contest 2016.

The decision came after TVR has not been able to pay it’s outstanding debts with the EBU for a total of  CHF 16 million.  This means that all services, contracted by the EBU, are to be withdrawn including the annual Eurovision Song Contest, which is taking place in three weeks time.
