Petra Mede and Mans Zelmerlow will be presenting the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, live from Globen Arena on May 10,12 and 14 May.
The pair were officially presented to the press at noon. Both Expressen and Aftonbladet reported earlier last week that the duo would be taking on the duties of hosts this year.
Petra Mede hosted the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, held in Malmo and also co-hosted the 60th anniversary show with Graham Norton, last year in London. The comedienne and presenter has previously hosted Sweden’s national preselection, Melodifestivalen in 2009 and will be returning in one of the six shows, this year alongside its host Gina Dirawi.
A total of 43 nations are taking part in the 61st Eurovision Song Contest, which returns for a second time to the Ericsson Globe, fka Globen Arena, in Stockholm.
Sweden have won the Eurovision Song Contest six time. Only Ireland have done one better, with 7 victories in the contests history.
