Former Total Touch singer Trijntje Oosterhuis flies the flag for the Netherlands at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest according to ANP & RTLnieuws.nl
After finishing eight and second at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 and 14 with established acts Anouk and The Common Linnets (Ilse Delange & Waylon), reports from the Netherlands seem to confirm that the famous Dutch superstar Trijntje Oosterhuis has been confirmed as the act to go to Vienna next May.
But not by the singer herself, so it seems. Anouk, the Dutch participant in 2013 (finishing 9th in the grand final), was put to the spot during an interview in the tv show College Tour in which the singer confirmed she had written a song for Oosterhuis and the upcoming 60th Eurovision edition, held in Vienna. Avro-Tros, the broadcaster who’s responsible for selecting and announcing the artist for Eurovision, expressed only a few weeks ago, they would be announcing the artist in November.
The former Total Touch singer, is one of the countries most famous superstars and has a solo career over a decade. Recently the singer has been active on the Dutch talent show The Voice Of Holland, in which she has been one of the coaches and she’s been performing together with the Soul Ladies, a female trio, who also consists of Ruth Jacott and Edsilia Rombley (her sister in law in fact) who each graced the Eurovision Song Contest stage themselves.
