ESC History of Bulgaria (BNT)

Bulgaria has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 11 times since making its debut at the 2005 contest in Kiev. The country’s best result is a second-place finish at the 2017 contest. Bulgaria has failed to qualify for the final in eight out of eleven appearances at the contest. However, on the three occasions, they have reached the final they have finished in the top five every time. The contest is broadcasted in Bulgaria by National broadcaster BNT.

Kristian Kostov (2017), Elitsa & Stoyan (2007) and Poli Genova (2016) are the only three acts to have qualified for Bulgaria. But each of them finished in the top five.
