The UK’s finest pop assembler Bright Light Bright Light has a very big surprise in store for us all. His brand new EP is on its way already!
Cinematography is the successor of his successful third studio album, Choreography, released merely a few months ago in July. So tell us, Rod, Why such an early release? Here’s what he had to say:
“‘Choreography’ was inspired by scenes from my favourite films and written to be the soundtrack to my own ridiculous colorful film. So as a sister EP, ‘Cinematography’ is a set of covers of some of my favorite songs from cinema.”
Perfect! Film night with Rod! What more could we ask for. Time to grab the popcorn, and mark that movie night with Bright Light Bright Light in your calendar. November 25 do not forget.
Fancy finding out what’s on the menu? Here we go:
Do You Dream About Me from Mannequin (originally performed by Alisha).
Touch Me from Nightmare on Elm Street 2 (originally performed by Cathy Dennis).
Pure Shores from The Beach (originally performed by All Saints).
Time After Time from Romy & Michele’s High School Reunion (originally performed by Cyndi Lauper).
Maniac from Flashdance (originally performed by Michael Sembello).
and Wicked Little Town from Hedwig & the Angry Inch. (originally performed by John Cameron Mitchell).
Now thats one heck of a #MovieMarathon list isn’t it? How about we get in the mood for it? Check out a first teaser of the upcoming EP below.
