The pressure is on for British songstress Rebecca Ferguson, as the Liverpudian singer has announced the first details of her upcoming new single, taken from the Billie Holiday project the singer’s been focussing on for the last year.
‘Get Happy’, released March 2, is the first outing of ‘Lady Sings The blue’, Ferguson’s take on some of Billie Holiday’s career-defining moments. The upbeat, swing track seems like the perfect match for Ferguson, who’s already accomplished two highly successful record albums to date.
Now Lauren Bettinson, aka FEMME, might look like she’s a right femme fatale, due to all the little flicks and tricks of 8oies Madonna and Pink but the London based singer, producer and entertainer definitely proves she’s much more than a cross over love child of the two pop stars.
Femme certainly brightened up our week, by releasing a very funky and delicious mash up of ‘All That She Wants Is A Fever Boy’ in which she puts her own twists and stamp on the 1992 smash hit ‘All That She Wants’ of Swedish band Ace Of Base, and throws in a bit of Mark Ronson and the 90s Garage music style.
The result is a gutsy, current and quirky mash up which makes FEMME a very exciting pop artist to emerge in 2015. ‘All That She Wants Is A Fever Boy’ is currently available to download for free via this link. FEMME’s new single, SOS, will be released this coming Spring. Watch this space!
Calvin Harris has announced the next smash single lifted from his most recent album success ‘Motion’; Pray To God.
The Scottish Dj surely won’t be praying on his own, hoping it’s another huge smash track for him, because he’s getting some well acquainted help from the critically acclaimed girl band Haim. The trio, scored a monster hit with their single ‘Falling’ back in 2013 and received outstanding reviews for their debut album.
‘Pray To God’ is pretty different from what we’ve heard of Calvin so far, in fact could we could even say it’s one of his best works to date. With Haim on board, Harris has teamed up with a varied mixture of stars including Rihanna, Florence + The Machine, Gwen Stefani and Hurts, but until you hear this track, you’ll find that the songwriters skills showcased on Pray To God are pretty outstanding and in a completely different league.
The official video is coming February 9, while the track gets its official chart impact date March 9.
Glamberts get ready! Adam Lambert’s been rocking it out with the remaining band members of Queen recently (with much success in fact) but the singer revealed on his birthday yesterday, the title of his upcoming third studio album; Original High.
The new album, the first in 3 years, has been executive produced by Max Martin and Shellback, and will be the first release for Lambert on his new record contract with Warner Bros. The first single has been confirmed for April.”

‘Lay me down’, will be released in the UK on March 15 and serve as the fifth overall single since the singer rose to fame. The track, was originally uploaded to the singer’s YouTube channel in 2013 acoustically, but re-recorded in studio for the singers debut album.
